Solar cells are fragile. Normally 18 Cells, 36 Cells or 72 Cells are connected in series suitable for 6V, 12V or 24V system usage for a solar module. This Solar Module is a laminated version for environment protection while sunlight passes through the transparent superstrate.

The power delivered by the panel is restricted because of number of cells and area of each cell. For applications like lighting where power and energy needs are less, a module of 10W to 75W will be sufficient. For applications like water pumping and AC power generation, more panels are connected in series and parallel to increase power and energy need.

Solar module generates DC power when exposed to direct sunlight. Solar module converts light energy to electrical energy. The total energy produced in a day depends on module wattage and average light intensity (measured in insulation) on that day. A 37 Wp. PV module generates 37 Watt Hour per hour for 5.5hours, or 37

watt x 5.5 hour = 203.5 watt hour (say 200 watt hour).

In this case the module could replenish the battery after the battery has been depleted 200 watt hour per day. A possible load might be 2 nos. of 50W bulbs run for 2 hours each.
